Instructor training

Join one of our four-day instructor training courses.

Life Cycle UK enjoys a national reputation as a centre of excellence for cycle skills training. In collaboration with the Department for Transport, road safety professionals and other cycling organisations we have helped create the first National Standards for adult and child cycle training, now being rolled out nationally as Bikeability. 

Our mission is to spread good practice to organisations and individuals across the UK by training the new generation of cycle instructors. Places on our courses cost £450

We can help you recruit and train instructors, enabling them to teach the principles of safe, confident cycling to a wide range of clients. We can also provide advice about issues such as administration, insurance, publicity and child protection. All of our courses meet or surpass the National Standard for cycle training. We can organise courses anywhere in the UK. Alternatively, you can send your people to us: we run regular instructor training courses in Bristol (and also in Truro). Check out our events pages or give the office a ring to find out when the next course is running.
